Panache Offers Organic Fair Trade Certified Coffees
Why Choose Panache Organic Fair Trade Coffee?
Fair Trade certified coffees help farming families by paying a guaranteed fair,
above market price for their harvest, thus providing them with a decent, living
wage. This is accomplished by avoiding middlemen and dealing directly with farmers
and their cooperatives. Panache's organic Fair Trade
certified coffees are certified by TransFair
USA, an independent international agency. All of our Fair Trade coffees are certified organic and are verified as shade grown. Fair Trade helps
organic coffee farmers stay in business, thereby strengthening the families and
communities that grow organic coffees, while working to protect the future
availability of gourmet specialty coffees.
What Does Fair Trade Coffee Mean?
Fair Trade coffees guarantee a fair price. When a coffee is certified as Fair
Trade, it guarantees that farmers and workers received a fair price for their
product. This is important because it means that farmers can afford to feed
their families and it also means that their children can go to school instead of
farming coffee. Fair Trade coffees guarantees quality products. Because the
farmers are receiving a fair price for their products, they now do not have to
sacrifice quality to make a profit. Finally, Fair Trade certified coffees certify
caring for the environment. Most organic Fair Trade coffee, tea and chocolate
in the US is certified organic and shade grown. This means that the products you
buy maintain biodiversity, provide shelter for migratory birds and help reduce
global warming.
